What are the general fields of human existence? I want to step back and get the bigger picture.

What are the nuances of the distinction between studying something and doing something.

Libraries create ID#s for the item because of physical storage, but virtual content just needs a unique ID since the content can be stored anywhere and content can have all sorts of accessible metadata.

I think content should be found and retrieved by whatever means (Google, hyperlink, odd cross reference, etc.) but collectors of content should attempt to classify/structure their content.
