World Electric Guide. Voltages and frequencies of electrical systems around the world. EG: The US is 120V and 60 Hz, but the Philippines is 110/220 V and 60 Hz. For an American appliance to be used in the Philippines, grounded adapters WA-9, WA-10, or WA-16, and ungrounded adapters #2, #4, and #6 will be needed.

Plug adapters are often needed, vary in configuration, and often come in grounded and ungrounded variations. Neither transformers or adapters affect cycles.
