Family Rules by George Hernandez

These are the Hernandez House Rules for the family of George Hernandez.

These are sort of child-rearing, family-raising, family rules, etc. I expect these rules to evolve but as it does I want the rules to cover all ages.

Hernandez House Rules v1.0 [2005-01-14]

Regarding these rules.
1. We, the parents & kids, agree to follow these rules & other agreed upon rules.
2. Rules can be changed but all involved must agree to the change.
3. These rules will get broken. For repeated or extreme violations there will be immediate consequences and then forgiveness.
Safety.
1. Do not hurt each other or yourself. This includes things like hitting, pushing, tripping, smothering, poking, and spanking.
2. Certain things can only be done with a parent present.
3. If someone says "ALL DONE", then whatever has been going on must stop right away.
Communication.
1. Use words.
2. Do not yell (use inside voices).
3. Do not interrupt.
4. Respond.
5. Do not use bad language.
6. Do not talk with food in your mouth.
7. Be present. Look at the person you're talking to. Stop what you're doing if necessary.
Housekeeping.
1. Put things where they belong.
2. You must clean up the first thing before you can do a second thing.
3. If you make a mess, you have to help clean it up.
Other
1. No stealing.
2. Respect each other's privacy.
