In this section I explore computers. I will hammer out some computer research and development, as well as publicly demonstrate my ignorance.

Yes Robin, there are a number of things I don't know about computers. EG: I don't do any of the following (yet).

If I had limitless money, I'd like to look into artificial intelligence, robotics, super computers, and nanotechnology.

What I actually do is develop systems that enable real world business processes. These systems have been implemented in production plants, office networks, intranets, extranets, and the Internet.

Computers are evolving rapidly. Historically, computers have consistently followed Moore's Law (i.e. computers doubled in power every 18 months). However, just as cars, radios, TVs and telephones evolved from clunky creations into second-nature devices, so too will computers. But in the mean time, I have to work with the darn things!

Make no mistake: computers are cool and fun, but I often kick myself for filling my head with techno-babble that becomes passé so quickly, that I have to spend even more time on newer techno-babble.
