Earth's May spectacular

Earth is giving out quite a show this May:

• At least 71 tornadoes [W] blew in the US (Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Georgia). Around 24 dead.
• Chaitén volcano [W] erupted in southern Chile. It last erupted around 7400 BCE.
• Cyclone Nargis [W] blew in Burma/Myanmar. Around 100,000 dead from this typhoon/hurricane.
• Sichuan earthquake [W] shook China. 7.9 Mw. Around 12,000 dead. The deadliest Chinese earthquake since 1976 in Tangshan where around 250,000 died.

Perhaps that state-size mass of ice in Wilkins Sound [W] will finish collapsing this month. Throw in some floods, tsunamis, and fires for a complete set. There's more than half the month left too!
