Orange Dream

This morning I gradually woke up while having an orange dream. In the dream I was a girl in high school who had just joined the Orange Club, which initially came across as some sort of pep squad. In the dream I was somewhat skeptical and concerned that possibly the Orange Club was too flaky or cultish or dumb or sexist or whatever. But as the dream progressed, I got into the higher levels of Orange.

I may have fleshed out some of the details with my just-waking mind but my sleeping mind had captured the whole feel of the idea. I could also flesh out more detail with my now fully awake mind but that's as far as the dream went.

I find it fascinating to have a "philosophy"/world view encapsulated by a color. There's the Church of Purple and the Invisible Pink Unicorn. I personally have had Maroon as my favorite color. There are implications of dark, sanguine, blood lusting, etc. with maroon. However I think I like orange as well. My favorite T-shirt has one of my heroes on it: Mr. Rogers. I have been contemplating over the past several months how it is often more useful and pacifiying to think "What would Mr. Rogers do?", instead of "What would a Spartan do?". I think that I should be predominantly an orange sheepdog who switches to maroon wolf when needed.

A toast to Orange!
